This is my fourth Monday puzzle! I love being able to jazz up a simple crossword theme with fun entries like BACHELORPAD and NAVELORANGE. I also always try to include interesting long down phrases, such as SEEYOUNEVER, while keeping the fill relatively smooth and easy.

One fun thing about crossword construction is that you get to learn interesting facts. Who knew there was a world record for Mr. Potato Head assembling?

"And all that the Lorax left here in this mess was a small pile of rocks, with one word... UNLESS."

I made this puzzle last winter while watching the snow fall. Now that December is starting, it has become relevant again. I hope you think it's cool. Stay warm, and have a chill holiday season!

I'm very excited to have my second Monday puzzle published!

Some puzzles are a grind to construct, and some come together like magic. This was one of the latter. This puzzle idea originally emerged from KNUCKLE SANDWICH, then TOE BEANS and ARM CANDY quickly fell into place. If a theme is primarily horizontal, I always try to add some long vertical entries for spice. When I saw ICE DANCERS and SOLAR FLARE fit in the middle section, I knew this puzzle was going to work out.

I hope you enjoy the puzzle! My cat, Julius, a possessor of 47A, wishes you good luck.

I am absolutely thrilled to be making my New York Times Crossword debut. Although I've been a dedicated daily solver for a while, I started constructing crosswords in 2020. I've had many, many rejections as I gradually learned the ins and outs of creating a high-quality puzzle. To new constructors: Don't give up even if you start out badly! Thanks to everyone whom I talked into test-solving my puzzles over the years

This theme came together nice and quick. I wanted to make sure I kept the fill smooth while still having some rarer letters and some good tidbits such as MOCKTAILS. Cluing-wise, I'm particularly happy that the fandom definition of SHIP was allowed to stay, as well as the clue for EMMA

When not constructing, I'm a particle physicist. Check out this article from 2023 on my research! Currently, I'm working on measuring the mass of an extremely light particle called a neutrino.
